JUSTICE JOHN A. ARGUELLES (Ret.)

Justice Arguelles is a retired associate Justice of the California Supreme Court, whose experience as a lawyer and jurist spans fifty years. His judicial career began in 1963, when he was appointed by Governor Edmund Brown to the Los Angeles Municipal Court. Six years later, he was elevated by Governor Reagan to the Los Angeles Superior Court. In 1985, Governor Deukmejian appointed him to the Second District Court of Appeal, and then to the California Supreme Court in 1987. Justice Arguelles is currently active as an Arbitrator, Mediator and Private Judge for a wide variety of civil and appellate matters.
